The three-deck Viking Legend, which debuted in 2009, is one of the newest ships in the growing Viking River cruise fleet. Staterooms feature 26-inch flat-screen Sony TVs, a refrigerator and either French balconies or picture windows. There is one main restaurant onboad this ship, and there is a library and observation lounge. Viking Legend sails in Europe, doing river cruises in the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers.

The dress onboard a Viking River cruise is casual. Dinner attire is called "evening casual," which means open-neck shirts, slacks, dresses and sport outfits. Captain's Welcome and Farewell Nights are dressy, but not formal.

Viking River Cruises isn't very family-friendly. In fact, they don't have any children's facilities or programs in place, and actually do not allow children under 12 years of age to cruise with them. Furthermore, they reserve the right to restrict the number of minors under the age of 18 that sail onboad their ships.
