I want to say that this ship, the Jewel of the Seas, is very nice. Our cruise, which was 8 nights long, sailed roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale in Florida and went to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, the Bahamas (Nassau) and Tortola. This ship was really beautiful and I recommend taking a cruise on it. There was a very fun and lively atmosphere on this ship, and I was surprised that the passengers onboard were a very international mix, with a bunch of Americans and a nice amount of Europeans, and some Australians and Canadians.
Of all the stops that we made on this cruise our favorite one was in Nassau, in the Bahamas. We went to Paradise Island and stopped by the Atlantis for a while. We gambled in the casino and also hung out at the beach for a bit. In fact, we went to the beach a lot during this cruise, since we also did that in St. Maarten and St. Thomas. We took a city tour in San Juan, of the Old San Juan area, and did a similar activity in Tortola.
The food was good on the ship. There were really a lot of places to eat, including room service that was available all of the time. The room service menu was pretty basic, but was good enough for when we didn't want to go to the buffet or the dining room.
There was a lot of entertainment on this ship. I especially liked the casino and show room. There was a good show on each night of the cruise. My favorite show during this cruise was one of the singing and dancing shows that they had, which was very much like a professional Broadway show (from what I'd imagine one being like, since I've never actually seen one).
I look in great anticipation of the next cruise we have booked, leaving in a few months from now. I hope it was as good as this one was.
