I went on this cruise with my sister and we had a fabulous time. From the dining and shows to the casino and spa, we really enjoyed this cruise. It was a great break from the daily grind! Price-wise this was a nice choice, and that in combination with the fact that the Carnival Liberty is a younger ship just made sense to us both. We are avid cruisers, and us saying that this is a good ship shouldn't be taken lightly (as we can be quite critical). This was a Western Caribbean cruise, so the ship visited nice places like Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios. We went shopping in Cozumel, and then went to the beach. In Grand Cayman we also went to the beach. In Ocho Rios we went to Dunn's River Falls, which was a lot of fun. I don't recommend walking around town in Ocho Rios, as many of the locals tend to beg for money (at least in my experience), even when you're in a car.
Our suite was a category 11, which has just the category 12's above it (as far as accommodation level goes). It was a spacious suite, with more than enough room and amenities for the two of us. The whirlpool bath and balcony were my favorite features of our suite.
If you're one of those people that still thinks of Carnival as "The Big Red Boat" party-ships, think again. They have really done a great job in upping their style and overall experience. Try them out!
