Celebrity Mercury is the newest of the Century Class ships of the Celebrity cruise fleet. This beautiful ship can be found cruising all over the world (see below for specific destinations). She features a wide variety of accommodations, from large suites to basic interior staterooms. Of course, Celebrity Mercury has the features typical of all Celebrity ships, such as a wonderful spa, gourmet cuisine and an attentive international staff.
After a quick (one week) refurbishment during 2007, Celebrity added new verandas to the rear of Celebrity Mercury (called Sunset Verandas), as well as upgraded fitness equipment, a new bedding program and a fully updated boutique "boulevard."
Celebrity Mercury will be featuring cruises in the following regions (subject to change, based on the cruise line's discretion):

Celebrity Mercury features a wide range of stateroom types. From basic interior staterooms to large and luxurious full suites. About 67% of the Mercury's staterooms feature either an ocean view or private veranda. All staterooms onboard the Mercury feature two lower beds convertible to queen size (unless noted otherwise), telephone and voicemail, air conditioning, a safe, hair dryer, 100% Egyptian cotton linens, 100% cotton towels, complimentary use of bath robes, complimentary 24-hour room service and a mini bar (of which the items that you consume are charged for).
Interior Staterooms: The interior staterooms onboard Celebrity Mercury are 171 square feet in size. They have a private bathroom, a 20" TV and a sitting area. Interior staterooms are available on the following decks: Continental, Penthouse, Plaza, Panorama, Sky and Vista.
Ocean View Staterooms: The Mercury's ocean view staterooms are 172 square feet. They feature either a window or porthole (depending on the category room), a sitting area, a private bathroom and a 20" TV. Ocean view staterooms are available on the following decks: Continental, Plaza, Panorama and Vista.
Veranda (Balcony) Staterooms: The veranda staterooms onboard Celebrity Mercury are 172 square feet, with a 42 square foot veranda (with the exception being the Sunset Verandas, which are 191 square feet, with a 72 or 98 square foot veranda). All of the Mercury's veranda staterooms feature a standard sliding glass door, leading out to the veranda, as well as a 20" TV and a sitting area with a sofa bed. The most basic veranda stateroom is a category 2A, known as a Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Veranda. The next step up is a category CC room, which is a Celebrity Concierge Class stateroom, featuring a VCR, a large sitting area (some with a sofa bed) and benefits including enhanced service, welcome champagne, express luggage delivery, VIP invitations to events, daily hors d'oeuvres, a menu of pillows, duvets and pillow-top mattresses, a leather key holder, priority embarkation/debarkation, fresh fruit and flowers, welcome champagne and a massaging showerhead.
Suites: There are three types of suites onboard Celebrity Mercury. The most basic suite is called a Sky Suite (category SS), which is 246 square feet and has a 69 to 179 square foot private veranda (depending on the specific stateroom). The next step up is a Royal Suite (category RS). Such a room is 537 square feet, with a 94 square foot veranda. These suites feature a 29 " TV in the living room and a 22" TV in the bedroom, as well as a VCR in the living room and an audio system. The most premium, and largest, staterooms onboard Celebrity Mercury are the Penthouse Suites. These massive accommodations are 1,101 square feet, with 118 square foot verandas. These suites feature a 32" TV (with a VCR) in the living room, a 29" TV in the bedroom, a DVD player, audio system and a security camera with 5.9" LCD monitor.
All guests staying in a suite onboard Celebrity Mercury benefit from a European-style butler service. This service includes welcome champagne, daily hours d'oeuvres, personalized stationary, a Celebrity tote bag, complimentary espresso and cappuccino, daily news delivery, assistance with packing/unpacking, in-suite afternoon tea service, in-suite lunch and dinner service, shoeshine service, priority luggage delivery at boarding, dining room seating preference, the opportunity to book an in-suite massage, a private portrait sitting, and complimentary use of the Thalassotherapy pool.
Celebrity Cruises' dining is award winning, prepared by world-renowned chefs. There are a wide range of dining venues to choose from while onboard Celebrity Mercury. From the main dining room, to the spa cafe, you're sure to find just what you're looking for.
The main dining room onboard the Mercury is the Manhattan Restaurant. It's a two-level dining room, located towards the rear of the Mercury (on the Plaza and Promenade decks) with beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows, great service, gourmet food and elegant china. The main dining room has two seating times for dinner. The main seating time starts at 6:15 pm, while the second seating starts at 8:30 pm.
The Palm Springs Cafe is Celebrity Mercury's large buffet area, and is where many passengers go for lunch, or even for dinner as a casual alternative to the main dining rooms. Another nearby (also casual) option is the Grill. Both places service a variety of food, from pizza, pasta and salads to hamburgers, hot dogs and sandwiches.
Room service is available 24-hours a day, but features a limited menu relative to the other dining options onboard Celebrity Mercury.
The first passenger level deck onboard Celebrity Mercury is the Continental deck. There are a bunch of interior and ocean view staterooms on this deck, as well as the ship's medical center.
The next deck up on the Mercury is the Plaza deck. On this deck you'll find interior and ocean view staterooms, as well as a bunch of public rooms. Among them are the first level of Manhattan Restaurant (the ship's main dining room), the Guest Relations desk, the Champagne Bar and the beautiful Grand Foyer.
The Promenade deck is Celebrity Mercury's third passenger level deck. Towards the rear of the ship (on this deck) you'll find the upper level of Manhattan Restaurant. Also on this deck are internet stations (called Online@Celebrity), the second level of the Grand Foyer, the photo gallery, Rendez-Vous Square (often featuring live music), a martini bar (offering a lot of martini variations), the library, Cova Cafe (serving coffee, espresso and pastries) and the lower level of the two-floor Celebrity Theatre (the Mercury's main show lounge).
On the Mercury's fourth deck, the Entertainment deck, you'll find Pavilion Night Club (featuring lots of seating and many popular events, such as live musical performances, karaoke and champagne tastings), Fortunes (Celebrity Mercury's casino), various shops (selling jewelry, clothing, cosmetics, fragrances and more), , the third level of the Grand Foyer, an art gallery, more internet stations and the upper level of the Celebrity Theatre.
The Mercury's next deck up is the Panorama deck, where you'll find Michael's Club (featuring live music and cocktails), the card room and the Grand Foyer (all midship), as well as various interior, ocean view and Sunset Veranda staterooms. The Vista deck is the Mercury's sixth deck, featuring the Fun Factory (where Celebrity's kids' program is based out of) as well as various interior, ocean view and veranda staterooms. Not surprisingly, on the Penthouse deck you'll find various suites (including the Mercury's two penthouse suites), as well as some interior, ocean view and veranda staterooms.
The eighth passenger level deck on Celebrity Mercury is the Resort deck. This deck features one of the most popular areas of the ship, the main outdoors area that houses La Playa Pool, a stage, bars and lots of lounge chairs. Also on this deck are a couple of grills and the AquaSpa and fitness center. Within the Mercury's AquaSpa you'll find a hair salon, a pool, as well as various therapy and treatment rooms. In the fitness center are many exercise machines and equipment.
The Sky deck is the next deck up. On this level of the ship are many Sky Suites, as well as some interior and veranda staterooms. The Sky Bar, teen room, an online area, and the Navigator Club (Celebrity Mercury's observation lounge) all are located forward on this deck. Also on this deck are many lounge chairs for outdoor sun bathing and relaxation.
The Sunrise deck is the highest deck on Celebrity Mercury. This deck features a golf simulator, as well as an observation area that offers an amazing view of the ship's surroundings.
Three types of clothing are recommended for a Celebrity cruise: casual shipboard attire (day wear), conservative port wear, and eveningwear.
Daywear includes the following: slacks or pants, blouses or shirts, knit tops or polo shirts. A pair of sneakers or rubber-soled shoes (for deck sports), and a swimsuit cover-up (for cool areas on the ship).
Port wear for women includes: a casual dress, skirt and blouse, or pants outfit. Port wear for men includes: casual pants or walking shorts, and polo-type shirts. Comfortable walking shoes are a must.
Eveningwear is broken up by Celebrity Cruises into two main categories, Smart Casual and Above and Formal. Celebrity Cruises classifies Smart Casual and Above as follows: For Ladies:Skirt or pants complemented by sweater or blouse. Gentlemen: Pants (no holes, rips or tears) with sports shirt or sweater. Shirts must have sleeves. T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip flops are not allowed in the evening hours. Celebrity Cruises classifies Formal attire as follows: For Ladies: Cocktail dress, gown or dressy pantsuit. For Gentlemen: Tuxedo, suit or dinner jacket with slacks.

Celebrity Cruises' youth program is called the X-Club. This program is available year-round and is based out of a section of the ship known as the Fun Factory. The program starts in the Fun Factory at 9 am each day during days at sea, or 30 minutes prior to arrival in port during port days. The Fun Factory closes at 10 pm each night. The X-Club is in a five-tiered age-based system as is as follows:
Children participating in X-Club events must be at least 3 years old and potty trained. However, if your child is under 3 or isn't potty trained you can accompany them to the Fun Factory to take part in activities. On the first day of the cruise there is a Open House event, so that parents can get all the information they want concerning the program. Popular features found in the Fun Factory include various crafts, games, toys, arcade games, music, karaoke, a ball pit and more. There are special teen events and explorations scheduled for the older members of the X-Club.
Celebrity Cruises recommends the following gratuity guidelines (per guest, per day):

These gratuity rates apply to guests of all ages. Please be aware that a 15% gratuity charge will be automatically added to your bar bills. Gratuities for room service, bellboys, casino and spa staff is at your discretion.
You can pay for your gratuities by one of the following ways:
- In cash (at the end of your cruise)
- Having the cruise line add them to your SeaPass (onboard) account
- Pre-paying them (by having your travel or booking agent add them to your reservation)
The official minimum drinking age on all Celebrity cruise ships is 21. However, on cruises departing from European, Australian and South American countries, where the legal drinking age is typically under 21, a parent that is sailing with their 18 to 20 year old son(s)/daughter(s) may sign a waiver allowing them to consume alcoholic beverages.
Guests are not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages onboard. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased in ports of call or from the onboard shops will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on the last day of sailing.
The official minimum gambling age on all Celebrity cruise ships is 18 years of age. Guests under 18 are not even allowed to be inside the casino. Proof of age is required. Some Alaskan ports require you to be 21 years of age to gamble. All gaming operations are performed in U.S. currency.
