Overview Opened in 2004, the Cape Liberty Cruise Port is located in Bayonne, New Jersey. This is a very popular cruise departure port for those that live in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania areas, as it provides a means of vacationing without needing to fly.
Currently there are only two cruise lines that depart from this port, Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean.

Tourist Attractions There are no major tourist attractions right by the port. However, the port is only about a 25 to 30 minute drive away from New York City, where there is an endless list of things to do. Because of this, many cruisers coming from far places (relative to New Jersey) enjoy doing a pre- or post-cruise hotel stay in New York City.
Port Location & Parking Fees The Cape Liberty Cruise Port is located about 15 minutes from Newark International Airport (EWR), depending on traffic (as it's a 10 mile drive). Cape Liberty is about 7 miles south of Manhattan (New York City), and about 30 miles from John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport. LaGuardia International Airport (LGA) is about 21 miles away from the cruise port.
Taxis are available at the Newark Airport, at an average one-way cost of about $35. It is much more expensive to take a cab from JFK (about $65, plus tolls) or LaGuardia Airport (about $70, plus tolls). All fares listed are subject to change. Another option is to purchase ground transfers through the cruise line.
