Overview Grand Turk Island is an island in the Turks & Caicos Islands. It's actually the largest of the islands in the Turks portion of these islands, and is a British overseas territory.
Cockburn Town is located on Grand Turk Island, and is the capital city of the Turks & Caicos Islands. In this part of the island you'll find long and narrow streets, with old Bermudian architecture. This island is very laid back, and it's quite noticeable as you walk around.
