Overview Princess Cays is the "private island" of Princess Cruises, located on a portion of the Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas. It's actually (occasionally) used as a port of call by Regent Seven Seas Cruises as well. This port of call is located about 30 miles from Nassau.

Princess Cays is not a cruise departure port.
Currency The official currency of the Bahamas is the Bahamian Dollar (BSD); however, the cruise line sold items will probably only be able to be purchased using your cruise card. This makes it so that anything you purchase is charged to your onboard account (including premium drinks, like alcoholic beverages). However, cash will be needed to make a purchase from the local (non-cruise line) vendors.
Language The official language of the Bahamas is English.
Tourist Attractions While you're relaxing in Princess Cays there will be a few spots to enjoy a nice barbeque. Besides food, there will also be live calypso and reggae music playing and lots of things to do for active tourists (such as basketball, volleyball, snorkeling by the beautiful coral reef, jet-skiing, parasailing, banana boating, kayaking, and swimming). Motorized water sports are not free. You can rent gear for water sports at Davie Jones Locker. There is also a supervised kids area, called Pelican's Perch.
Of course, simply going to the beach and sunning is a popular thing to do while at Princess Cays. There will be a lot of beach chairs along the beach, as well as a few shaded hammocks in Palm Grove.
There is a boutique (called Tropical Treasure) on the island owned by Princess Cruises, as well as various local vendors (at the Straw Market) selling a wide range of crafts. Of course, hair braiding is readily available too (at the Princess Cays Island Boutique).
There is a tourist information center available should you need directions to find a specific activity in this area.
Port Location Cruise ships dock about 2 miles offshore and use tenders to transport their passengers to and from Princess Cays. Passengers are dropped off at Love Boat Marina.
