| Celebrity Cruises has announced that they have taken delivery of the newest ship in their fleet, Celebrity Eclipse. This vessel is the third of their award-winning Solstice Class ships, bringing the fleet's total to 10 ships. There are still two more Solstice Class ships that will be released in the future by Celebrity Cruises, the next one being Celebrity Silhouette (expected to debut in August of 2011) and the last one that's yet-to-be-named. The following is the press release that Celebrity Cruises issued today regarding this exciting news: Miami - (April 16, 2010 ) - Celebrity Cruises today celebrates achieving "a perfect 10." Richard D. Fain, chairman and CEO of the brand's parent company, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., and Celebrity's President and CEO Dan Hanrahan  yesterday participated in a shipboard ceremony marking the transfer of ownership of Celebrity Eclipse from shipbuilder Meyer Werft to Celebrity Cruises, bringing the fleet to a total of 10 stunning ships.Proudly displaying the freshly signed ownership documents on the deck of Celebrity Eclipse are (left to right) Lambert Kruse of Meyer Werft, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Chairman and CEO Richard D. Fain, Celebrity Eclipse Captain Panagiotis Skylogiannis, Celebrity Cruises President & CEO Dan Hanrahan, and Meyer Werft CEO Bernard Meyer. On the heels of a series of promotional activities in Hamburg, Germany, and Southampton, England, the 2,850-guest Celebrity Eclipse will be formally named in ceremonies April 24, and will enter service April 26, presenting a series of sailings roundtrip from Southampton to the Mediterranean, Russia and Scandinavia throughout the summer. The stylish  new ship will offer Caribbean sailings from the Port of Miami beginning this winter.Celebrity Cruises is designed for discerning cruisers, with modern, sophisticated environments, impeccable service, enriching and inspiring onboard programs, and world-class cuisine.
