Disney Cruise Line to Set Sail for Alaska in 2011

In very exciting news, Disney Cruise Line has announced that in 2011 they will be featuring cruises in Alaska (a first for Disney Cruise Line), as well as the Mexican Riviera (which they have done before). This is in addition to their Bahamas and Caribbean cruise itineraries.

As far as the Alaska cruises go, they will be featured aboard Disney Wonder (sailing round trip from Vancouver, British Columbia) and will be 7-nights in length. The Disney Alaska cruises Disney Alaska Cruiseswill be available for a four month period during the summer of 2011. Port of call for the Disney Alaska itinerary will include Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway. The first of these Alaska cruises will be departing on May 3, 2011, and the last of them for that season will depart on August 30, 2011. Disney Wonder will be undergoing enhancements via a dry dock (this coming October) to help prepare her for her Alaska cruising. The main change that will occur during this period will be the addition of Outlook Cafe, a 2,500-square foot retreat for guests to enjoy amazing views. This cafe will connect with Cove Cafe, via a spiral staircase.

Before and after the 2011 Alaska cruises that will be available on Disney Wonder, she will be doing 7-night Mexican Riviera cruises (sailing round trip from Los Angeles, California). Port of call for these Mexican Riviera cruises on Disney will include Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.

During 2011 Disney Magic will be featuring a series of 10- and 11-night Mediterranean cruises, sailing out of Barcelona, Spain. Among the wonderful ports of call for these Disney Europe cruises will be cities in Italy, France, Spain, Malta and Tunis (in northern Africa).Disney Alaska Cruises

All of these exciting 2011 Disney cruises will be able to be booked by consumers starting September 28, 2009.
