Cruise ships have cultures too........
Just completed 8 days on the Orchestra (new ship of MCL). Great ship and cabin service. Exec staff virtually non-existent. They have no idea how to cope with the kids they allow to travel free and never get back on questions and concerns. Example: Bags never arrived after first night (plainly labeled) so we went and found them. No worry for them. Be very careful of ANY excursions as they just don't take any responsibility for the service or lack of it.
Lastly, everyone was billed for fuel-tax that was to be credited and they printed the final statement in Italian!!
I've traveled at least 15+ other cruises, but this one is one for the books...and not the good book.
Rick Sasso is new CEO but trying to get to him or his staff is fruitless.
Lessons learned. Stay with those that know how to serve the US market.
