Default Fall Foliage - Best Time to Cruise Canada?

Hi,

My parents are going to take a Canada and New England cruise and I wanted to make sure that they are going at the best time of the year. They'll be cruising this September because they were told that the best time to take this type of cruise is during the fall when the leaves begin to change colors. Is that true? I just want to make sure they're going to have the best time possible and see the best sites possible. Thank you for any advice!

The fall foliage is one of the main things to see while on a Canada/New England cruise. I did one a few years ago and it was truly beautiful. Of course, there's lots of other things to see and do, but that really adds to the overall experience.
