Default How are Alaska cruises?

Hi,

My first post.

I wanted to get some general opinions from others on Alaska cruises. I've never been there, but it sounds like it would be fun. I like the outdoors and am just worried about it being too cold. Maybe someone out there who's been there could give me some info.

Thanks!

Hi there,

Alaska is a fantastic cruise destination, especially if you're a nature lover. I myself have been on two Alaska cruises already (one on NCL and the other on Princess). Both cruises were great.

As far as the temperature goes, yes Alaska is cold. However, it's not as cold as you may think. For example, if you go to Alaska in the summer (which is the peak cruising season for that region), the temperature won't be that bad. You'll need to bring a jacket for sure, but you may be able to get away with a light jacket or even just long sleeves as long as you're not up in the mountains.

Again, if you appreciate beautiful landscapes and wildlife you should without a doubt give an Alaska cruise a shot.

Hope this info helps, please let me know if you have any other questions!

I've never been to Alaska but have friends that have already went 3 times - they love it. I plan to go one day, but still have a few other places I'd like to go first.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks so much for the great info. Sounds like Alaska is perfect for me! I'm going to look into which one is right for me.

I loved Alaska when I went there (a few years ago). Would love to go back one day.
